21 May 1878 — Therapia | |
Tuesday. 21st May [1878]. It was very hot. Practised & wrote– After lunch Henry & I went in the 3 oared to Hyssar to see Ahmet Vefyk P. & found he had moved to his upper summer house but was still very suffering. While we were there little Mehemet Bey came & was full of wonderful stories abt the Ali Suave affair. We had a lovely row & got back abt 8.30. Major de W., Lord George & Mr Sandison dined with us. | |
