Monday. 24th [June 1878]. Instructed Jerry & painted his portrait. The Adl and Mr Winsloe & Capt. Hunt Grubbe came to luncheon. In afternoon we went & sat in the grove & played tennis. Had some 1st rate games. Capt. Wingfield dined with us. Sang in the eveng. | |
