1 July 1878 — Therapia | |
Monday. 1st July [1878]. The mother gave me a present of £100 on my birthday. Henry went to Safvet Pasha’s in the morning. Mr A. Loftus (messenger) arrived from Berlin, so we now have 3 here. I played tennis with the secys; a very hot day. Henry went to Yildiz. The M & S walked on the quay. The M & S, Rassam, the Barings, Mr Loftus, Mr Woodford dined with us. | |
