2 July 1878 — Therapia | |
Tuesday. 2nd [July 1878]. Sat talking & working in the morning. The “Salamis” left with Mr Baring as we finished luncheon. It was an excessively hot day. We went out in the 6 oared caique & took the General, the M & S down the Bosphorus. We landed at Chibukli to have coffee & nargilehs and then went on nearly as far as to Candilli & crossed by Hyssar to come home. Mr Rassam & [illegible word] Johnston dined with us. | |
