3 October 1878 — Therapia | |
Thursday. 3rd [October 1878]. Directly after breakfast Mrs Burr & I set off in the caique to go to the Sweet Waters of Asia to make a sketch and only returned to luncheon at 2. Henry sent the steam launch to fetch us & we got into it at Yeni-keui. The Squire & I went out fishing with Mrs Parnis for the last time together. Hobart P. arrived to stay with us. We had a dinner party to the Roumelian Commissioners, Sir H. D. Wolff & Lord Donoughmore, M. & Mme Kallay (the Austrian), Le Baron de Ruiz, Mr [illegible word] (the French), Mr Cartwright & Mr Walpole. Music in eveng. | |
