11 October 1878 — Therapia | |
Friday. 11th October [1878]. Wrote for the post. Mr Kennedy had returned home with us & we left Lord George at the Fleet. Pss Nazlie came to spend the day with us & lunched with me in the drawing room with Jerry to wait on us. I introduced Hobart Pasha to her and they talked a long time together. Hatzfeldt & the Radolinskys called while she was still there & I had to get them to go away. The Princess herself left abt 4 & then I went out to play tennis. Baker Pasha came to stay a day with us. in the eveng I went out fishing; bad sport. | |
