13 October 1878 — Therapia | |
Sunday. 13th [October 1878]. Made Henry some cigarettes & talked to Hobart P. abt his impending marriage. In the afternoon went in the garden with Henry, Mr Grace & Mehemet Bey came to see him there, afterwards we went round the garden together & there were joined by Sir Hy D. Wolff & Mr Walpole & they came in & had tea with me in the boudoir. Hatzfeldt, Mr Gifford Palgrave (a horrid looking man ½ convict ½ jesuit in appearance just named consul Genl of Bulgaria), Sir H. Wolff, Ld Donoughmore, Hobart P., Ct Pisani, Mr Mallet, Sir A. Sandison, Mr Smijth, Mr Leveson Gower, Lord George & Mr Kennedy made our party at dinner. | |
