12 February 1879 — Constantinople | |
Wednesday. 12th February [1879]. Henry continues to improve & he got on the sofa from 12 till 5– He was able to see Zichy & Hobart P. in bed– May went to the Bazaar to buy things for me. I copied despatches & music & did not go out. We had a dinner party & Mr Mallet took Henry’s place. We M. & Mme Webenau, M. & Mme Kuhlmann, Sir G & Lady Thomas, the Whitakers, Barré de Lancy, Baron Budberg. Had a little music in the eveng & the Dicksons joined the party. | |
