18 March 1879 — 24 Onslow Gardens | |
Tuesday. 18th March [1879]. Kitty came to spend the day with me. I had a bad headache & was obliged to lie down. Lady Walsham also came. In the afternoon I took Kate out driving. We went to call on Mama at Langham Hse & found her in the midst of paint. Went to write our names on the Crown Pss & other Royalties. Went to tea at Lady Salisbury’s & left Kate there. My head was very bad. I managed to go & dine with Susan Hambro but was so ill I had to leave the table & was so sick I had to go & lie in Susan’s room the rest of the time. Monty came in the eveng & sat with me. | |
