Tuesday. 15th [July 1879]. Stayed in bed till 11 but wrote for Henry & letters of my own for messenger. Had my Turkish lesson. Very hot day—not very well laid down in my room all the afternoon. The General, Mr Smijth & Preziosi dined with us. | |
