16 July 1879 — Therapia | |
Wednesday. 16th [July 1879]. Arranged & tidied my boudoir. Nazli came to lunch & stayed all the afternoon till 5. It was very hot & S. wind blew hard. Sat in the garden. Hatzfeldt called. We dined at the French Embassy—met Mme Bartolins & 2 daughters, Zichy & Corti. Very hot eveng. Went to bed with the window open when suddenly the N. wind got up & had to shut it. | |
