17 July 1879 — Therapia | |
Thursday. 17th July [1879]. The wind blew all the morng to our regret as we were afraid Blanche wd suffer at sea. Wrote letters in the morng. Alice had a Greek lesson. Watched with glasses for the arrival of the Varna boat. They came at abt 1 o’cl in the steam launch from Kavak. Had had a very good passage & B. had not been ill. Looking well but very thin. After luncheon we sat in the garden in the tent. Alice & Henry went out riding at 5. B & I sat together. Heard Jerry read. | |
