Thursday. 24th [July 1879]. Alice had a Greek lesson. I trimmed a garden hat for Blanche & we sat in the garden & Blanche read French aloud. In the afternoon we played tennis. Mr Oliphant dined with us. After dinner we went out in the caique to Buyukdéré to hear the band play. | |
