2 September 1879 — Therapia
Tuesday. 2nd [September 1879]. We were up late & Blanche, Alice & I had breakfast in my room. Adl Hornby arrived in the Helicon & he & Mr Winsloe came to stay with us. Mrs A. Hanson came & brought up some china she had bought for us at the Bazaars & we had rather fun over dividing it. I did not go out but the others went on board the “Hawk” & he took them down to the Khedive’s gardens at Emierghian for a tea picnic. I taught Jerry & read. Dr Millingen came & prescribed for my eyes. The Hobarts & Wingfield dined with us so we were a party of 11. B. sang a little we were all sleepy & went early to bed.
