19 January 1880 — Constantinople | |
Monday. 19th [January 1880]. Had such a bad headache I could not get up, Dr Patterson came. Towards eveng I got a little better & sat up in the armchair. Hill told me that Mrs Currie & Emily had had a quarrel & the latter struck her mother. I had her in, talked to her & made her ask her mother’s pardon. Alice went to the Glee Club. Henry came & read his papers in my room. Fine day. | |
