5 September 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 5th September [1880]. There was such a severe scirocco that we did not care to go out all day. In the afternoon Henry went to pay Mr Brown a visit & I & Morelli sat talking. Henry also had a visit from Capt. Kirk– At 6 Morelli left us to return to Milan. Cortelazzo dined with us & we went afterwards to the Piazza & sat there taking ices & hearing the band play. | |
