15 September 1880 — Bormio | |
Wednesday. 15th September [1880]. The night had been fine & we hoped to have a fine day to make an excursion to Sta Catarina—but the wind went back to scirocco & we had frequent showers & we were obliged to stay at Bormio. We wrote letters all the morng & in the afternoon walked as far as the hot springs but were driven in by the rain. Dined at table d’hôte. Played dominoes. | |
