18 October 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 18th October [1880]. Wrote a lot of letters in the morning. The Drakes came to luncheon & directly after Sir Wm & Henry went to Murano. Ella stayed with me & sat in my studio working & talking. Mr Burton arrived from Vicenza by the 2.40 train & sat with us & we had tea. Henry took the Drakes home in the eveng & I went to bed with a headache. | |
