4 November 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 4th November [1880]. Woke with a headache & breakfasted in bed—but got up abt 11 & went into the room where Cavenaghi was at work & watched him continue to renover the Bellini wh was found to be entirely repainted & in many places changed. I sat in the studio the rest of the afternoon while the others went out. In the evening I felt better & went down to dinner. In the evening we played a 4 game of dominoes & Morelli & I beat. He played very well. | |
