14 November 1880 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 14th [November 1880]. Cortellazzo turned up from Vicenza– Spence came to paint at his portrait. I went to church– Cor: lunched with us. Afterwards we all went out & walked in the Piazza—the band was playing. We rowed home round by the Giudecca. It was a lovely bright day. Cortellazzo & Spence dined with us & Spence sang & played & we sat in the studio. | |
