9 March 1881 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 9th [March 1881]. Our 12th wedding day. Wrote in the morng. After lunch went to the Stabilimento to see the things wh were made yesterday—then on to the Piazza to take a walk. Coming home we went to see Css Marcello & found Gino her eldest boy with her—a great big sun burnt youth with a beard—looking more like her brother than her son– When we came out of her house we found a thick white fog had set in so we hurried home to a cosy evening. Telegram to say Dr come from Rome tomorrow. | |
