11 March 1881 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 11th [March 1881]. I wrote a heap of letters &c in the morng. Henry took Dr Nevin to Murano. Css Marcello called & asked me to go out with her to see a frame at Favenza’s wh she thought of buying for the Queen to give the King on Monday wh is his birthday. She had recd a telegram in the morng abt it & had very little time. I went afterwards to see if Marcato had anything but he had not. I promised to let Css Marcello know if Henry thought the frame was a good one & he will go & see it in the morng. His cold was bad & I had to put him to bed early & doctor him.
