6 April 1881 — 3 Savile Row
Wednesday. 6th April [1881]. I ordered the carriage early & drove off to the dentist at 10—found I had mistaken & my appoint was for tomorrow. I drove to Langham House to see Lady Huntly found her at breakfast with Mr Schreiber. I then went to see S. Hambro & found her in bed. Went to Blanche & took her out shopping to Maples & then returned to Q. Anne St & lunched with her. Ethel Ponsonby was there. B sent me home in her carriage at 3. Had visits from Mme Blumenthal, Squire Burr, Mr Morgan, Connie & 3 children whom I sent to tea with Hill. We had a small dinner party consisting of Mamma & S. Sir Collingwood & Lady Dickson, Arthur & Maria & Richard. Arthur & I sang a little in the eveng. Pleasant evening.
