2 May 1881 — 3 Savile Row | |
Monday. 2nd May [1881]. I drove out; paid visits; left cards & only found at home Mrs Leith Hays– Lady Dickson was out. Maria opened the door & asked me in to see the parrot. I copied several times Montys letter for the papers on Tunis. We had a small dinner party of 10 people consisting of Sir Hy & Miss Thomson, Blanche Ponsonby, Mr Kinglake, Mr Lecky, Sir Wm Gregory, & Monty. Blanche sang a little in the eveng and Edward also came to join her. | |
