Tuesday. 3rd [May 1881]. I copied Monty’s letter. Blanche came to lunch & brought Onie with her. Louis Du Cane also came & we had to hide him from Blanche’s sight as she was afraid of his bringing the infection of measles from his sisters to Onie. At 3.30 Susan Hambro sent the carriage to fetch me and she took me to Haywards to see their Exhibition of old lace & the modern Burano which I had brought over. Met there Mrs Kay & Mrs Drummond & went into the whole thing with them. | |
