10 May 1881 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 10th [May 1881]. Wrote &c. Dr Howell came up from Wandsworth to see me & promised to send me some medicine. He said my vaccination was not taking and that it was not necessary to be done more than twice in ones life. Eda Alderson came to lunch with me & then I took her out with me. We went to Gorringe & I ordered her a gown & hat. We met Blanche there & her children. I went after to Dss of St Albans to an afternoon party for some music but I could not stay very long & after hearing Mrs Moncrieff sing a Spanish song I came home. Blanche came to tea & later Mr Wyld & Sir Edmund Commerell. Monty & Arthur dined with us.
