20 June 1881 — 3 Savile Row | |
Monday. 20th June [1881]. I drove up in a hansom to Queen Anne St & Blanche & I went shopping together till Lunch time. At 3 Henry & I drove to Langham House in a cab to meet the Castellanis & show them my mother’s collection of china & enamels– Henry went off with Castellani & I with Mme C. I took her to Cohen’s to buy herself some silver things & then took her to Savile Row & we had tea & Kate came to tea. We had a dinner party, Lady Eastlake, Connie & Charlie, Mr & Mrs Clay Ker Seymer, Miss Hogarth, Miss Dickens, Mr Alfred Barton, Arthur Guest, & Mr Woodford & a pleasant evening. Connie played the piano. Arthur & the Seymers sang & played. | |
