17 July 1881 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord
Sunday. 17th July [1881]. A pouring wet day & no going out for me. Monty took a list of all the stores remaining & then made out the accounts– This took us till 2. Then Henry & I retired into my room & went over the translation of the Bobbin lace & finished it. We dined at 4 & afterwards it cleared a little & Henry & Monty went out again fishing but they caught nothing. The Genl. & I remained at home. Wrote & played cribbage. We had a fire all day. The post came in abt 10.
