7 November 1881 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 7th November [1881]. Still foggy weather. Mrs Eden came in the morning & took Connie & Charlie out walking. Mrs Brown came to call on Connie– I stuck in despatches all the morning– In afternoon I & Connie & the children went to Piazza in gondola. Evely learned to row left handed. M. & Mme Usedom called just before we started, she was a Miss Malcolm– Lady Bagot & Mr & Mrs Parker came to tea. Connie & Co went to the Marionettes & returned at 9.30 & had supper. | |
