10 November 1881 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 10th [November 1881]. I had a bad headache & could not eat any breakfast & had to give up going to be photod with Connie & Co. I remained all day on the sofa in my studio. Lady Bagot came in the morning & sat with me some time & then I slept away the rest of the day. Connie came & sat with me in the afternoon & Lady Gregory. I managed to go down to dinner as it was the Gregory’s last evening & also Countess Olga Mocenigo came & dined but I was so unwell still that I had to remain on the sofa all the evening. Connie played the piano. | |
