22 December 1881 — Milton Abbey, nr. Blandford, Dorset | |
Thursday. 22nd [December 1881]. Went up & sat with Susan in the morning for a little while & then went down & wrote in the drawing room. Mr Hambro brought in a Mr Marsh a clergyman to see Susan. We did not go out at all but sat & worked & chattered together. It was a dull cold day. Henry having a cold also remained at home. Dined at 7.30. Played dominoes after dinner. Susan & I won. | |
