8 January 1882 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 8th January [1882]. I spent all the morning arranging & unpacking things. At 1 Henry & I walked off to Queen Anne St to lunch with Blanche. We met there Mr Granville Ponsonby her brother in law. Blanche had a show of her children. Oliver the eldest is 5 & the baby 2 months. Blanche & I went down to Onslow Gardens in a hansom. I saw Charley & Blanche went up to Connie’s & remained there an hour & half I waiting for her. Col. Philip Smith called on Charlie & then Lady St Germans & May Ponsonby. Abt 5 B & I returned to Savile Row. Had tea & then B went home. Mrs Austin came & dined with us & was very happy. She is staying with Blanche & returns to her own home tomorrow.
