Wednesday. 15th February [1882]. Better a little & after lunch got onto the sofa– Nelly Alderson looked in in the morning on her way from her home to stay at Canford. Blanche came a little while in the afternoon & so did Mama & Monty sat with me a little while. Henry dined at Mrs Jeune’s & met Mr Chamberlain, Mr Montez, Mr & Mrs Forster & the FitzJames Stevens. He went with the latter to the Cosmopolitan Club afterwards. | |
