6 April 1882 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Thursday. 6th April [1882]. Merthyr was not so well & did not come down today. Dr Wiblin went away to Southampton & came back in the eveng. I sat in the morning room with Lady Westr and we turned our attention to her 2 green frogs & tried to give them flies to eat. After lunch Henry & I took a walk in the wood & picked wild flowers—there were a quantity of primroses, anemones, dog violets, hyacinths—& I brought home a quantity & sent them off to Mrs Austen in London. Maria, Richard & the twin girls came abt 6 down from London to remain on a visit. Henry & I played cribbage in the eveng.
