13 April 1882 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset | |
Thursday. 13th April [1882]. Got up after breakfast & sat in the boudoir. Maria left Inwood & returned to her home leaving Thwaits & the twins still here. Merthyr & Theo went out hunting & did not return till abt 5. It was a pouring wet day and it was stormy. After luncheon the clouds lifted a bit & the children were able to get a run—then it set in harder than ever. We dined at 7.30 & sat in the microscope room. Merthyr & Henry played cribbage. | |
