20 April 1882 — 3 Savile Row | |
Thursday. 20th April [1882]. I did not go out but remained on the sofa. Henry went out in the afternoon in the brougham. A lot of housemaids applied for the place & Hill chose out 2 for me to see. I saw M Udell & liked the look of her. Wrote for her character. Blanche came to tea & sat some time with me. Henry came home & finding B was going to walk home he offered to accompany her. Squire Burr came & played cribbage with me– Edward Ponsonby called at the same time & watched the game– Henry & I played cribbage in the evening. | |
