23 April 1882 — 3 Savile Row | |
Sunday. 23rd April [1882]. I did not go to church. Read at home. At 1 I went off in a hansom to lunch with Blanche & Henry went to Sir Wm Drake. At 3 the carriage came for me & I went down to fetch Henry at Prince’s Gardens. En route there was a tremendous shower of rain & hail. I went in to see the Drakes & then we went on to the Dicksons & found them at home– After paying them a short visit we returned home as it was rainy & dark. I read aloud to Henry in the evening & we played cribbage. Monty went down to Brighton today. | |
