17 May 1882 — 3 Savile Row | |
Wednesday. 17th May [1882]. Had still a headache & had to lie on sofa– Edward called & we continued our chat on politics. Morelli turned up abt 1 having arrived this very morning from Paris. Maria & her twins came to lunch. Henry & Morelli went out together to the Nat. Gallery. Hill took the twins off to the Zoos– Maria & I walked to Hamilton House. We found Ivor & Cornelia at home & sat a little while with them. Walked on to Bruton St to see abt a commission for Css Olga Mocenigo for her child’s frock. Walked on to Blanche she was out—on to Langham House, Mama & Alice Du Cane were at home. At 5 Mama sent us back to Savile Row in the carriage– Henry came in. Genl. Hankey came to call– Morelli came to stay & dine. Maria & the twins went away abt 7. Morelli dined with us but went away early & Henry & I played a game of cribbage before bed time. | |
