30 June 1882 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Friday. 30th June [1882]. Henry got up at 7 & went out fishing & came back with empty hands & rather discouraged. Worked the sewing machine. Helped Monty to paint. Lord Rowton went out fishing & brought home a 14 lb. salmon. Dined at 4. The Root house was begun & the 4 lower beams laid & fixed. Monty went out fishing & lost a fish Henry do-do. I went down to the bank to practice casting & Bertie came & I gave him a lesson in casting. Lord Rowton came down later & then Bertie & I came home. Supper at 10.30. Cribbage. | |
