24 August 1882 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 24th [August 1882]. Up at 7. Alice had a bilious attack & was in bed all day. Flowers from Mr Malcolm’s garden wh I put up. Idita Hurtado called & helped me– Scirocco & very hot. Read Italian. Worked, sat with Alice. Dined at 6.30. Went out in Piazza—band played– Cribbage. | |
