2 September 1882 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 2nd [September 1882]. Mme Bontempelli’s lesson. Mr John Samuel called. Arranged plants—made cuttings. Packed. Lunched at 11.30. Went by train 2.15 to Mogliano to stay with Css Marcello. She met us at the station & drove us to her villa. Sat in the garden talking &c. Went to talk to her gardener & she told him to prepare some plants for me to take back to Venice. We dined at 7. Ct Bianchi of Treviso was there & Ct Agostini. They played dominos in eveng. | |
