3 September 1882 — Mogliano | |
Sunday. 3rd September [1882]. We breakfasted in our rooms. Lunched at 12. After lunch we drove off to Treviso to call on Mme Canevaro & Mlle Cozzi her sister whom we found living in a small hired villa for the summer. We went into the Duomo to show Alice the pictures. Then went to get an ice at a café & then home. Andriana, Alice, Conte Luigi Michiel were with me in the carriage. Uccio drove another with Theresa & Ct Agostini. Alice had a headache & had to lie down on our return. We had tea & sat in the garden after– Dined at 7 as they waited for the return of Pino who had been away a month making a journey in Spain. Monsignor Bernardi came from Venice to stay. He sat next to me at dinner. In eveng Andriana, Alice, Henry & I played dominos till bed time. | |
