5 September 1882 — Mogliano | |
Tuesday. 5th September [1882]. Breakfast upstairs. Down at 10. Alice went out to see Nicolas’ birds. I sat at home talking with Andriana. Second breakfast at 11. At 1 we set off for the station to return to Venice. Andriana accompanied us to the station. It was a fearfully hot day. We reached home at 2. Henry went to a meeting at the Murano common glass establishment. O stayed at home, read & had tea– Dined at 7. Rowed out in the evening. Stopped to hear men singing in boats & then to Piazza to take a turn. Met Conte Angelo Papadopoli. Home early—cribbage– | |
