15 September 1882 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 15th September [1882]. Had lesson in Italian. Wrote to Mrs Eden– Mrs Burr continued to draw out the fan for me. After lunch played duetts with Alice. She & Henry went out together. Mrs Burr & I remained at home & sat in the studio. Henry sat to me for a little while but the day was so dark & stormy I could not see to do much. After tea Alice read out loud. In evening cribbage. | |
