30 October 1882 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 30th October [1882]. Another sad wet day. Css Marcello & her son Gino came to luncheon. In the morning I modelled & heard Mildred her German. Arranged the drawing rooms so that we cd have fires lit. Did not go out. We had our evening reading & then Mildred & I played duetts on the piano & harmonium. We dined at 8 & waited for Morelli to arrive from Bergamo wh he did & is to stay a little while with us. | |
