7 December 1882 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 7th December [1882]. It was still cold & foggy. I painted in the morng & Maria sat with me. At lunch time it suddenly cleared so directly after Henry, Maria, Louis & I rowed off to the Armenian Convent & it was a most lovely afternoon. Padre Alischan received us & showed us over the place & we enjoyed it very much. Maria & Louis walked home from the Piazzetta. I called on Mme Canevaro & got home when it was quite dark. In the evening I played the harmonium. Cribbage with Henry. | |
