Saturday. 9th [December 1882]. Maria went out with Alice to the Correr Museum– I went off to see Mr Malcolm abt Jerry. He was most kind and said he thought he could get him taken on board a P&O steamer as a servant or stewards aid & said he wd let me know. I painted all the rest of the day. | |
