Thursday. 14th [December 1882]. Felici came & took away the bas relief of Henry’s head to get it recast. I painted border of fan & read. We lunched in the library. Went out in gondola—ordered of Dell’Aqua 8 vases of Venice Faïence for the dinner table. Walked on Riva Schiavoni—met Olga & talked a few minutes with her—came home– Read & had tea. Dined in library. Read in eveng. Cribbage. News of Nellie Alderson’s engagement to Sir Wm Horte. | |
