29 December 1882 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 29th [December 1882]. I wrote invitations, letters &c. Directly after lunch went off in gondola with Henry to Murano to both glass works, at the common glass works met Cts Serego & Nicola Papadopoli & took the latter on to the other works to see [illegible word] at work. Home abt 4. Had visit at tea time from the Pss of Montenegro & her sister & daughter & they were very pleasant. When they left I practised harmonium. Dined at 7.30. Quiet eveng & cribbage & reading. | |
