12 February 1883 — Milton Court, nr. Dorking, Surrey | |
Monday. 12th [February 1883]. We breakfasted 9.30—& then talked till 11 when we had to leave to return to town. We got to Vic Station at 12.40 & home for lunch. It was pouring wet day. Henry & I drove abt 3.30 to Blanche’s to see the dress rehearsal of the French Play that the children are acting. It was very successful– We did not get home till 6, stopping on the way at Chapells to hire a small piano for Blanche to use tomorrow. Blanche & Edward came & dined with us– After they left Henry & I played cribbage. | |
